Substance Misuse / Alcohol and Drug problems
Alcohol and Drug problems are acutely prevalent in our community. A surge in calls about parents drinking and taking drugs has lead to the demand for providing alcohol and drug rehabilitation. We recognise that support is often necessary. The focus of therapy is that client and therapist work together to understand any problems that develop and help with strategies for tackling them.
Mode Rehabilitation also works with expecting mothers or mothers to be who may have a number of problems including medication use or substance misuse. Our therapy focuses on the thoughts, images, beliefs and attitudes held (the cognitive processes) and how these relate to behaviour as a way of dealing with emotional problems.
We recognise effective treatment may be necessary for some who are dependant on Antidepressants, as these are supposed to make people feel happier and more at ease. However, studies have linked several prescription antidepressants to an increased risk of violent behaviour, including physical assault and homicide.
Mode Rehabilitation is an independent recovery and rehabilitation facility, registered charity in the South Manchester. We support people to rehabilitate, find purpose, hope and meaning in their lives.
